woman empowerment, Work Life

Celebrating Womanhood in Corporate World

I shall share some things which I feel has helped me so far :-
– I have never thought as a woman but always as a manager or as a professional
– Have never asked for any advantages for being a lady/women nor any differential treatment..
– have always taken up challenging roles – ones that have not being doing well at all in the recent past.. be it DTH, fragrances, steel sales in Mumbai..
– I have shown keenness or rather extra ambition to be ready to travel as much possible for my jobs & different roles..across culture, cities, states
– Have focussed on working by aligning my team and boss closely & keep communication correct with supporting teams..
– Never taken unnecessary leaves & learn to draw a boundary to our personal lives..

What I have decided to work further to help myself & can suggest fellow working women also :-
– We tend to think alot & overthink at times – we should avoid it..
– We should never do any gender discrimination & so set our expectations correct..
– We should align our personal lives according to our professional demands – e.g. currently am working around to have that 30mins in morning or evening to do Yoga plus I don’t like giving up my personal time of 45min-1hour time before going to sleep when i do everything from planning, reading, chatting, breathing, smiling, dancing, etc. etc.
– Overall, don’t give up easily – every problem including personal ones have a way out & workplaces need more women as they are better managers anyday who make choices based on heart + mind..

In the end my wish is to do justice to myself as a working professional so much that I have a smile on my face when I look back & think about work life.. 🙂 its not a big deal

Best thing about coming to Delhi :) !

Best thing that has happened after comiing to Delhi has been – to come closer to what I was, what I am and what I wanna be..
Family’s presence became stronger..
friends who mattered came closer…
clicking got more diverse..
travelled new places with relish…
Found a new life with Yoga..
Loved the experience of Mahabharat show & reading Geeta..

All these things moulded me into becoming what I wanna be and am comfortable as.. Now am more secure, confident, more smiling, comfortable with myself..
I don’t bother about people much now & don’t run after things I don’t want..
Have more clarity in my head about things..
I came closer to what my ULTIMATE DREAM should look like 🙂

Lastly chachi’s incident taught me to re-organize my priorities as My health (physical & mental), family, hobbies and then work…
Just always be present Khuda… & let me be strong & patient in every situation..

Let me focus on Karma & Let Lord take care of everything else 🙂 …

Every House I lived spoke a story of its own…!

I associate alot of my life to things & people around me like everybody else. However the difference in my case is a dash bit more of attachment, emotional, sentimental value..
So as a case I associate alot of my good or bad times with the houses I have stayed in.. The first one is the IFFCO quarters that my father got after his posting.. it was a small cozy apartment of 2 bedrooms, 1 hall, kitchen, bathroom, verandah, garden, garage, kitchen garden separate. I have all my childhood memories from this place! So much so that all my dreams associated with home are also visualized here only.. I see my Dadi in my dreams here only..

Next was the second township house I lived in Ahmedabad with my family & however bigger it was – I associate it with alot of changes it brought in our family & my growing up years! Next was hostel for 2 years that I don’t associate living with, just experiencing & surviving while learning! Then comes the Bombay home in Andheri that I hated initially but happened to like in the latter part thanks to alot of good times spent with my friends, family there! Hubli home was more a makeshift temporary arrangement for 6 mths that never turned into a home but yeah it was cozy, nice, breezy & I quite liked it..

Post coming to Delhi, the first home in Saket I found was disdained by one & all though sufficient for me but it did not seem appealing 🙂 The current house set up has taken well to me so far and have been able to find some kinda stability with it & hence myself.. Life seems likeable & I quite like coming here & spending my time…I like inviting my family here & living with them – the bright market behind has a very important role to play 🙂

Thank You God for all the happiness you provided..
